IPTV & MATV Systems
Professional television distribution systems delivering free-to-air, satellite, and IP-streamed content to every screen across your facility — engineered for crystal-clear picture quality, scalable channel management, and seamless guest and patient experience.
Every Channel. Every Room. Every Screen. Flawlessly.
Whether a guest in a five-star hotel room, a patient in a hospital ward, a resident in a compound apartment, or a customer in an airport lounge, the expectation of reliable, high-quality television access is universal — and the consequence of a poor or absent TV signal is an immediate, tangible impact on satisfaction, comfort, and the perception of the facility. Technology Control Company for IT (TCC), established in 2014 and headquartered in Riyadh, designs and deploys professional IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) and MATV (Master Antenna Television) distribution systems that deliver broadcast-quality television to every screen in every room of your facility, reliably and consistently, at any scale.
TCC’s television distribution expertise covers both established coaxial MATV/SMATV infrastructure and modern IP-based IPTV platforms — and in most cases, a hybrid of both technologies working in harmony. MATV (Master Antenna Television) systems use a shared antenna and satellite dish installation combined with a professional headend signal processing and distribution infrastructure to deliver free-to-air terrestrial, Arabsat, and Nilesat satellite channels via coaxial cable to every room outlet in the building — providing robust, low-latency broadcast distribution that does not depend on network bandwidth or IP infrastructure. IPTV systems encode and stream television channels and video-on-demand content as IP multicast streams over the facility’s existing data network — enabling interactive channel guides, video-on-demand libraries, hotel information portals, patient education content, welcome screens, and room service menus to be delivered to standard Smart TVs or Android-based set-top boxes throughout the facility, all managed from a central headend server.
TCC designs every television distribution system to the specific requirements of the facility — the number of rooms and viewing points, the channel line-up required (local Saudi FTA channels, regional Arabsat and Nilesat bouquets, international pay-TV packages), the level of interactivity demanded (basic TV only, or full IPTV portal with VOD, welcome page, and service integration), the existing cabling infrastructure (new installation or retrofit into existing coaxial plant), and the need for integration with hospitality management systems (PMS, HMS), patient information systems (HIS/EMR), or digital signage platforms. The result is a fully engineered, professionally installed, and certified television distribution system that delivers a premium viewing experience from day one — and continues to do so reliably for the entire lifetime of the facility.

IPTV vs MATV — Understanding the Difference
TCC helps clients select the right technology — or the right combination of both — based on their facility type, existing infrastructure, channel requirements, and level of interactivity needed. Most large facilities benefit from a hybrid approach that combines both technologies.
IPTV - Internet Protocol Television
- Streams channels over existing IP network infrastructure — no dedicated coaxial cabling required
- Supports fully interactive EPG, VOD libraries, welcome portals, and service ordering
- Centrally managed channel line-up, content, and device configuration from a single server
- PMS / HMS integration for personalized guest or patient experience
- Supports unlimited channel capacity — not limited by RF spectrum
- Ideal for hotels, hospitals, and large facilities requiring interactive in-room services
- Scalable — add rooms or screens by connecting to the existing IP network
MATV / SMATV - Master / Satellite Master Antenna TV
- Distributes satellite and terrestrial channels via coaxial cable — robust and low latency
- Does not depend on IP network bandwidth or infrastructure availability
- Works with any television — no set-top box or Smart TV required in basic mode
- Ideal for residential compounds, apartments, and facilities with simple TV needs
- Industry-standard technology with decades of proven reliability in large buildings
- Lower per-room cost for basic television distribution without interactive features
- Can be combined with IPTV overlay for interactive features on existing coaxial plant

TCC IPTV & MATV System Implementation Working Process
Requirements Assessment & Technology Selection
TCC begins every television distribution project with a comprehensive requirements assessment — understanding the facility type, total room and viewing point count, required channel line-up (local FTA, Arabsat, Nilesat, pay-TV), level of interactivity required (basic TV or full IPTV portal), existing cabling infrastructure, integration requirements with PMS/HMS and other facility systems, and project budget. Based on these requirements, TCC recommends the optimal technology approach — pure MATV, pure IPTV, or a hybrid system — with a clear explanation of the capabilities, costs, and operational implications of each option to enable an informed client decision.
System Design & Signal Level Calculations
TCC engineers produce a complete television distribution system design — satellite dish positions and structural mounts, headend rack layout and equipment specification, coaxial distribution network design with full signal level calculations at every outlet (ensuring all outlets receive signal levels within the ITU-T J.83 specification), IPTV headend server and network architecture, set-top box or hospitality TV specification, PMS/HMS integration design, and VOD and portal content architecture. The design includes full equipment schedules, cabling plans, and a transparent bill of materials reviewed and approved by the client before procurement.
Infrastructure & Cabling Installation
TCC's installation teams manage all cabling and infrastructure work — installing satellite dish mounting structures on rooftops or building facades with appropriate structural fixings for Saudi wind load conditions, routing coaxial distribution cabling through riser shafts and ceiling voids to every floor distribution amplifier and room outlet, installing IPTV network switches and access points, running power supplies to headend equipment rooms, and preparing all containment and cable management systems for a professional, maintainable installation. All cabling work complies with Saudi Building Code requirements and manufacturer installation standards.
Headend Installation & Equipment Commissioning
TCC installs and commissions all headend equipment — satellite dishes are aligned precisely to Arabsat (26°E) and Nilesat (7°W) satellite positions using spectrum analyser measurement, achieving maximum signal strength before locking. Satellite receivers, transmodulators, and RF processing equipment are installed, configured, and signal-level balanced throughout the distribution network using professional signal measurement instruments. IPTV headend servers are configured with the approved channel line-up, EPG data feeds, VOD content library, middleware platform, and PMS/HMS integration interfaces.
TV & Set-Top Box Installation, Configuration & Testing
TCC installs and configures all in-room televisions and set-top boxes — wall-mounting commercial hospitality TVs at the correct height and angle for the room layout, programming each TV into hotel or hospital mode with the facility's custom welcome screen and branding, configuring channel lists and parental controls per room category, setting up IPTV app and portal interfaces, and verifying picture and sound quality on every channel at every room outlet. A room-by-room acceptance test record is completed and signed off before project handover.
Training, Handover & Ongoing AMC Support
TCC provides comprehensive training for facility management, IT, and front-of-house teams — covering daily system operation, channel management and EPG updates, VOD content publishing and scheduling, portal customization, PMS/HMS integration management, remote device management, and fault identification and reporting procedures. Full as-built drawings, headend configuration documentation, satellite alignment records, signal level test reports, and system manuals are provided at handover. Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) cover scheduled preventive maintenance visits, satellite dish re-alignment checks, headend equipment inspection, software and firmware updates, and 24/7 helpline support at 9200 14102.
